    Amputation Due to Infection

Hospitals have had an epidemic of infection infestation, with simple operations such as arthroscopic surgeries resulting in widespread infection at the point of surgery.  MRSA is one of the more famous hospital-bourne infections--MRSA kills more Americans per year than AIDS.  As a result, those who have been infected may require further surgery, and some have even required amputation.  Amputation due to infection is not an acceptable complication of simple surgery, and if there is evidence that the hospital or the doctors did not follow appropriate and accepted medical standards and protocol, there is evidence of medical malpractice.
